PROCEDURAL RIGGING PROJECT
PROCEDURAL RIGGING GUI
This project is a collection of mel and python scripts meant to streamline
the rigging process in Maya.
How it works.
1. First type in a name for your character.
2. Under Construct Skeleton click the skeleton button
3. Click the Anim Ctrls button to create the animation control curves.
At this point the joints are created, named and oriented.
The rigging information for each character is stored on the rigging node.
4. Under Construct Rig click the feet button.
(A rigging node should be selected)
This creates the entire foot set-up
5. Under Construct Rig click the shoulder button, then the forearm button.
This completes the arm set-up.
6. Under Construct Rig click the back button, then the head button.
This creates the stretchy back with ik/fk controls.
